Artist's Description
Backlit portrait of a Grevy zebra. The Grevy zebra is a subspecies that lives in the north of Kenya and in Somalia and Ethiopia. It can be recognised by its smaller stripes, which connect underneath the belly. Most other zebras have white bellies. The Grevy zebra is a more solitary animal than its cousins, and although mixed herds do occur in areas where more than one subspecies is present, they do not interbreed.
